The process of becoming a mother can be exciting, but it is also often fraught with worry, stress and anxiety. Many women experience feelings of sadness, loneliness, anxiety or loss during the pre and postpartum stages. I believe that women deserve to be cared for and supported during this crucial time in order to ensure their well-being and that of their children. This is why I chose maternal mental health as an area of focus for my practice and sought certification in Perinatal Mental Health services.
